Rochester Riveters Hold Tryouts for Inaugural 2027 Season
The Rochester Riveters held tryouts on Saturday, October 17th, from 9–11 p.m. at Irondequoit Sports Complex in Rochester, beginning an important chapter as the team prepares for its inaugural 2027 women’s tackle football season.
Tryouts gave prospective players an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, meet the coaching staff, and learn more about becoming a Riveter. The session included speed and agility drills, football fundamentals, and position-specific work to help coaches evaluate players’ abilities and potential.
Led by Head Coach George Morales and Assistant Head Coach Jessica Coluzzi, the Riveters are working to build a team centered on commitment, accountability, and player development. Tryouts were an early step in establishing that foundation and bringing together women ready to compete.
With tryouts complete, the focus now shifts to roster commitments and offseason preparation. The team will continue developing fundamentals, building chemistry, and preparing for its first season together.
